Her background also includes six years as VP, Director of Trust Marketing at PNC Bank and three years as Account Manager at Muir Cornelius Moore, a marketing communications firm in New York, where she was responsible for helping introduce the first IBM personal computers to the marketplace. Barbara is a collaborative worker who has used her marketing, analytical and people skills to bring focus and growth to a diverse group of organizations.

During the years Barbara raised her three children as a stay-at-home mother, she used her marketing and leadership skills in numerous volunteer capacities, including serving as the chair of the St Thomas’ outreach committee, chair of the St Thomas’ nursery school board, co-chair of the ECS 145th gala, chair of the St Thomas’ Harvest Fest, substitute teacher, and member of the board of Episcopal Community Services. She created a strategic marketing plan for St Thomas’ outreach, hired a new director at St Thomas’ Nursery School, consulted with ECS on strategic marketing decisions, and served as parent volunteer coordinator at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. As the parent of three athletes, including a current left-handed pitcher on the Lehigh baseball team, she has had extensive volunteer involvement in youth sports for over 20 years. She continues her 40+ year commitment to outreach, by volunteering in many capacities for under-resourced Philadelphia youth.

Barbara holds a BA cum laude in History from Princeton University, and an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University.
